Kathy is a nationally recognized basketmaker and instructor with more than 20 years of basketmaking experience. She is best known for her double wall baskets. Kathy also creates functional totes with handcrafted leather straps and elegant Shaker-inspired double wall baskets woven of black ash. This beauty received first place traditional basket (teacher category) at the 2001 Association of Michigan Basketmakers Annual Convention. Another small double wall basket, "Pathways in Ash II," won second place traditional basket at the 2002 North Carolina Basketmakers Association Annual Convention. |
